Updates to WCC Ag Dept Greenhouse Construction

Winter/Spring 2017
The greenhouse finally breaks ground! The construction of the new Woodland Community College greenhouse is underway now!

January 2015
by Jeff Merwin at the 2015 Farm Bureau Annual Meeting:
"...Farm Bureau donated $2,000 to Woodland Community College for their Ag Department. I asked Dr. Michael White, President of Woodland Community College to present his vision for WCC, and it is very exciting to hear about vertically integrated college education that can start as early as high school, and will prepare a student to either successfully transfer all of his or her college credits to a four year university, or earn a four year degree at WCC. Dr. White is a champion of agriculture, and he is working to expand the ag department in ways that will soon make it a premier Junior College for agricultural studies. "

Mike Howard serves as the Farm Bureau representative on the Woodland Community College Advisory Committee. He has been working for several years to get the Measure J Funds properly applied to building a greenhouse for the Ag Department.
