The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) will require all food producers to meet new standards for food safety. This will include new requirements for on-farm operations, and producers will be required to comply by January 2018.
Attendees will receive:
• 8-hour, 8-module basic education on compliance with the FSMA Produce Safety Training Rule, as required by the Produce Safety Rule;
• Official information and compliance materials created by the Food and Drug Administration and the Produce Safety Alliance and approved for use in training producers by the Food and Drug Administration;
• These include slides, handouts, information on links to forms that will be needed by producers to comply, standard operating procedures for producers;
• Official Produce Safety Alliance certification of training, as required by the Produce Safety Rule;
