Yolo County Farm Bureau has teamed up with the Water Resources Association of Yolo County (WRA) to provide a planning forum for SGMA implementation.

The WRA is a consortium of entities authorized to provide a regional forum to coordinate and facilitate solutions to water issues in Yolo County. The WRA is governed by a Board of Directors who represent each of the member agencies, which include the Cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters, and Woodland; Yolo County; Dunnigan Water District; RDs 108 and 2035; UC Davis; and Yolo County Flood Control & Water Conservation District (YCFC&WCD).

Yolo County Farm Bureau is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary membership, California corporation whose purpose is to protect and promote agricultural interests in Yolo County and to find solutions to problems on the farm, the farm home, and the rural community

With the various pressures on the groundwater resources in Yolo County, the Water Resources Association of Yolo County (WRA) and the Yolo County Farm Bureau are collaborating on the "Year of Groundwater," in which the community works together to promote and advance local groundwater sustainability. The severe drought conditions; the switch to permanent crops with annual water demands; the development of previously non-irrigated lands; the permitting and installation of numerous new groundwater wells; and the call by the Governor, the Legislature, and state regulatory agencies for new groundwater regulations has spurred encouragement by Yolo County interests in all things groundwater.
