FFA: Outstanding Chapter Member

Nominate a Member Today!

The Yolo County Farm Bureau is an organization established to support agriculture and always encourages agricultural learning and pursuits. We are extending to the FFA advisors in Yolo County the opportunity to nominate an outstanding member in your chapter to be honored at a monthly Yolo County Farm Bureau Board of Directors Meeting with the student’s parents and advisors. At the meeting, the student will be presented with a California Farm Bureau Federation pin and certificate, and a press release about the student’s accomplishments will be sent to local newspapers. This honor is available for one student per chapter every school year. Feel free to nominate a student at any time during the school year.

Yolo County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce Vanessa Trujillo has been chosen as the Yolo County Farm Bureau Esparto High School FFA Chapter Outstanding Member of the Month. Vanessa was nominated by her FFA Advisor Jennifer Crerar. Vanessa is the daughter of Krista Trujillo.

Vanessa is an active FFA Member, she currently serves as her chapters FFA Reporter. This year Vanessa is also serving as a chair on several FFA committees for Monthly Meetings, Stud Week and Degree Banquet. For Vanessa’s Supervised Agriculture Experience Project this year she will be raising and showing market goats; Vanessa previously has raised and shown market swine. Vanessa has also previously attended The State FFA Conference and was the organizer of Sweetheart Week and Donkey Basketball.

Outside of FFA Vanessa continues to show her great leadership ability. Vanessa currently serves as the Esparto High School ASB Secretary. In 2018-2019 Vanessa was a FARMS (Farming, Agriculture, and Resource Management for Sustainability) Leadership program participant!

Upon graduation Vanessa plans to attend California State University, Chico majoring in Agriculture Education to pursue a career in Agriculture Teaching.
