Rural Health Department
The Rural Health Department provides guidance on health-care and safety issues affecting rural California and agriculture. Operation Help
collects donated medical equipment from hospitals and healthcare providers for use by smaller rural facilities with
critical equipment needs. Hazmat Transportation Training is a certificated bilingual instruction program for

Crime Prevention
The Crime Prevention program helps to reduce the occurrence and impact of crime in rural areas and in the
agricultural industry. A $750 Reward Program is offered by CalFarm Insurance and Farm Bureau for tips that lead to
arrest and conviction. Signage, decals and marking tools are provided by Farm Bureau as a deterrent to crime. Check
out our Rural Crime Watch website for a current list of stolen equipment and other rural crimes. The Farm Watch
Program is the rural counterpart to the successful Neighborhood Watch program.

The California Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation
Provides approximately $45,000 in academic scholarships each year. Recipients are selected based on academic
achievement, career goals, extracurricular activities, determination and a demonstration of leadership skills. To
qualify for consideration, the applicant must be preparing for a career in the agricultural industry and must
attend a four-year school in California. Memorial donations to the Foundation are gratefully accepted. Contact

Keep California Beautiful
This non-profit environmental education organization is dedicated to conserving our state's natural resources. KCB
actively coordinates business, government and public partnerships to promote grassroots community action. Activities
include litter and graffiti clean-up campaigns, Buy Recycled public education campaigns, workplace recycling and
source-reduction programs and many other programs. Partnerships have included CAL/EPA, California Integrated Waste
Management Board, Coca-Cola®, Proctor & Gamble®, Dow®, McDonald's®, the Nature Conservancy and Sierra Club. Contact
